It has been a while since I posted a blog covering the progress of my Unity projects. This is another island project using Asian assets from the Unity Asset Store. Presently, there are only a few groups of assets that share the same level of detail. I didn't want lower resolution assets along with higher graphics assets. So first off, I create a new scene, as the project assets have already been imported. In the new scene, I load in the Gia Procedural Worlds program, in order to import basic assets. I run the Stamper program to create the desired terrain. Along with the terrain, I also import the basic rendering pipelines, skybox/wind/water, 3rd person controller, and basic scripts. From here, I assess the island and decide where to begin constructing. The pic below is the first construction. The prefab house is added in to show the scale of the base platform. It has been removed, and work is underway.
Some time has passed since the creation of this blog, so I will present a series of screen captures of the progress along the way.
It's one of the largest castles I've built to date.
The following are more pics of the ongoing design of the castle.
At this point I had begun working on some of the outer structures. This Temple Hall was next.
After the Hall was mostly done, I got started on another outlying shrine.
After this shrine, a larger villa was started.
And then another small castle area.Basic structuring
Housing additions
Shops and such

There are quite a few interior shots on this build also.
The following are a few more exterior shots of this area.
There is still much to be done on this project, as well as more additions. I took a break from it for a while as I started work on the next project.
After some time, my PC was beginning to get extremely choppy while editing in camera mode, so I returned to Fukinari, and another location :)
After I was satisfied with the complete structure here, I moved on to yet another expansive location. It was initially going to be a 1 platform structure, but I kept adding on to it until it became a multi level compound.
After the main structures were mostly done, I went to work creating an extravagant Izakaya including the kitchen area behind the building.
Once this was done, I began on the next area. I started with one main platform and kept adding to it until I ended up with a multi level, sprawling property on a sand bar. Walls and bridges were needed so they were done first to make sure all the walls lined up correctly. While working on the 2nd platform, I started adding an undercroft with private stairs entry.
After all the exterior walls were placed, construction started on the 1st platform.
Once the great Hall was put together, I began working on the 2nd platform where a Public Bath/Onsen was built.
This is a far as I've gotten at this point. The lighting on this project is already beginning to lag and clip in certain camera angles, so this may be the last structure in this project. So far there are 6 Villas and 9 Outposts.
