This blog is a collection of 36 screenshots of the Palace construction, although there are not many in-process shots. Posting a blog about this was an afterthought, but I will do my best. As I mentioned in the last blog, there is an Easter Egg in there somewhere.
For starters, I created the perimeter walls after I leveled off the desired area. After the perimeter was established, I got started on the waterfall/river system first. Here are a few shots of the water system:
After I was satisfied with the waterfall system and river, I got started on the Palace. It's pretty massive, and took many days of tweaking the exterior construction. It took many hundreds of exterior panels to create the outside. The first pic is of the perimeter with no structures started.
As you can see from looking through the entrance, the exterior walls are one sided, meaning the entire interior has to be constructed. The top view shows the additional structures and all of the roofing that had to be meticulously fitted. After the exterior was completed to my satisfaction, I moved into the inside and began walling in everything, including the 3 separate floors and assorted interior structures.
These two pics are of the 1st and 3rd floor before anything was added. There are no stairs, as they are only accessible by teleport.Once the levels were established, I started adding the infrastructure.
This is a Shrine on the 2nd floor, built 1 piece at a time. The lighting has been placed. There are 2 pics of the exterior along with an interior view.
After the Shrine was completed, I created this sacred area complete with lighting, a magical gem, and railing. After this was finished, I could move on to the 3rd floor, which is the Royal Chambers level. Below are 10 screenshots of this final level.
And with these pics, here are a few parting shots of the grounds, complete with a village, market, more towers, a farming section, a lake, Main Gate, Park, and assorted views.
And here are a few views of other structures from a different location.
This is a view of Tenge Temple from above the Palace.
This pic is the Princess Garden with the Palace off in the distance. This garden complex will be next in the series.
