As promised, this blog is of the Tenge Temple Garden shrine. Again, all of the asset panels are one sided like 1-way mirrors. The interior and the exterior are two undertakings to form one solid structure. Everything had to be perfectly squared or else the roof panels would not line up without showing flaws. Pictured above is the aerial view of the Garden complex. As I was working on a slope here, I needed to construct the base foundation to run level to the entrance. The 'floor' of the base had to be constructed with a plane object and the grass texture applied to it.
This is the beginnings of the Temple/Shrine on the foundation with a character placed in for scale. It took the better part of a day to get the exterior perfectly squared and formed to accommodate the roofing. At this point the structure is only half done.
The 4 pics above are aspects of the interior work before props and details were added in. Dividing walls and supports were added in for game functionality. At this point I had already started working intensely on the garden areas, adding and situating all the foliage and ornamentals along with lighting and details.
And the above 8 screenshots are of various angles and location within the garden. I tried to design it with the tranquility and beauty a Princess would enjoy. I also added an exterior wading pool as it is also customary to wash their feet. I wanted to give an impression of an ornate and welcoming environment for the garden using well placed stones, flowers, hedges, and overall scenic views. I also wanted to present different areas of the garden as each section has a slightly different look and feel to it.
I also like to have entrances show their own characteristics, as I tried to do with this complex as well.
I hope you enjoy this scenery as much I enjoyed making it. I have dozens of Unity projects that are just taking up drive space when I finish them. I will be posting more project screenshots of various structures also. I hope you'll join me 😊
